“THE IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION THROUGH ONLINE COURSES IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES” – By Vittorio Di Vincenzo (International University of Monaco)
My name is Vittorio Di Vincenzo, a 3rd-year student currently doing a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, pursuing a finance specialization, from the International University of Monaco. In this article, I want to discuss the importance of education in developing countries and how online courses help them. Education is one of the main factors to achieve development. There is no place where you can have sustainable economic growth without investing in human capital. Education enhances people’s creativity and efficiency that can lead to innovative development.
Despite this, in developing countries, the teaching methods continue to be inadequate because of the lack of resources or because teachers are treated differently. They do not benefit from the same education that teachers in developed countries have. As a result, even the teachers do not have a proper basis for forming high educated students. Moreover, many families cannot afford to give their children a good education because of school and university fees and other costs. Children who complete school may lack necessary skills, such as math, reading, and writing, putting their future at risk.
Education is a human right, and it is essential to achieve many sustainable development goals. It helps people face daily challenges in their lives, and it is also necessary to reduce poverty and help the country grow faster in many aspects. Online courses that have gained a lot of attention worldwide can bring education from important universities across the globe in the past few years. These courses bring high-quality instruction to underdeveloped places where the universities and schools don’t work well.
This start is a significant opportunity for developing countries to grow their educational system and boost human rights. Indeed, many African countries are investing in internet infrastructure to help achieve better adaptation for online course systems; even South America aims to invest a lot in this type of education. Nowadays, people from developing countries are more likely to enroll in an online course and are most likely to feel like they got benefited from it.
FuturED is an educational organization that wants to contribute to achieving sustainable development goals in including education. It aspires to give people opportunities, especially for those who do not have access to a reliable education system. Then, even FuturED can do its part to help developing countries.
The company aims to motivate people to take out the best from them.
In my opinion, I believe that even if we are going through hard times, we do not have to forget the importance of education that is the basis for a country to grow. It is impressive how people from developing countries, despite their quality of life and their educational environment, do not give up on learning new things every day to help them achieve goals and enhance their everyday lives. This demand for the platform is the tailwind since online courses can contribute to their goals by facilitating and improving their study methods because they are quick and do not cost too much. It can help students reduce the expenses generated by bus or train if they live far from the universities or schools.
Furthermore, online courses are flexible; students have more freedom. They are not tied to a schedule; they may find new opportunities or subjects they are interested in. The online course can even improve a country’s workforce by having more skilled people in shorter times.
In conclusion, education brings stability and hopes for the future. The right learning environment makes people more robust and ready to face life’s challenges with the right tools.
