Our Founder and Managing Director, Juan F. Dávila y Verdin, has received the Freedom of the City of London award by the Mayor of the City. He was presented the award on a very special ceremony taken place last Friday, 22 September, in Chamberlain’s Court Room, at Guildhall, the ceremonial and administrative centre of the City of London and its Corporation.
Dávila y Verdin received the distinction for his tireless work towards sustainability through higher education.
The Freedom of the City of London award is given to those who have achieved success in their respective fields and was thought to have first been presented in 1237.
He joins the ranks of HM The King, Queen Elizabeth II, the late Duke of Edinburgh, Nelson Mandela, Winston Churchill, US President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Lord Robert Baden-Powell, J.K Rowling, Annie Lennox, among many others.
