
Saskia Jimenez is co-founder of Iluminando El Futuro. She is a Mechanical Engineer from the Technological University of Panama and accredited as a Technician in Sustainable Energy in Canada in 2013. As part of her training, she was part of the group of the student section of the Association of American of Mechanical Engineers (ASME Student Section), in which it has stood out in the organisation of activities that promote the participation of women in the study of STEAM careers, such as the act in commemoration of the International Day of Women in Engineering (WES). She was also part of the founding board of directors of the Young Professionals and Students Network (YPN) and the International Association for Hydro-Environmental Research and Engineering (IAHR) in Panama and was a volunteer at the 38th IAHR World Water Congress. One of the main motivations is to use his knowledge in Engineering to develop projects with high social impact in his country in such a way as to improve the quality of life of people at social risk and motivate many more young people to innovate and lead projects that give benefits and strengthen our countries at all levels.
