Robin Endres is a dynamic, entrepreneurial executive director at the forefront of sustainable development, gender equality and women’s empowerment. Committed to advocating for marginalized communities for the past two decades, Ms. Endres’ work has encompassed microfinancing, education, mental health, gender-based violence, crisis response and community support services. She has also advised organizations in strategic planning and development in global health, girls’ empowerment, and women’s political representation.
She is accomplished at leading organizations to make visionary changes. As executive director at MPower Alliance, she initiated a new strategic vision incorporating a human rights approach that significantly raised the organization’s profile and impact on vulnerable
communities. She streamlined operational systems and leveraged strategic partnerships to keep down costs while amplifying the organization’s work to empower marginalized women.
Intrigued by the aspiration of global cooperation, she became involved with the United Nations as a delegate to the UN Commission on the Status of Women. She has headed delegations of gender activists to the UNCSW as well as presented on the intersectionality of gender and
global sustainable development issues. Most recently, she completed a UN master’s program focused on advancing international sustainability and promoting peace through diplomacy within the frameworks and systems established by the UN.
She earned honours in her degree programs which include a B.A. in Latin American Studies and a minor in East Asian Studies from UC Santa Cruz, a Master’s in Public Administration from the San Francisco State University, and a M.A. in Development Studies and Diplomacy from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research. For her master’s degrees, she researched women’s social and economic empowerment in the developing world as affected by CSR programs and global climate change funds.
