
Julian Caletti is a German professional working at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) since 2016. Prior to this position, he worked for three years at the Information Service of the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), providing knowledge about the United Nations to visitors at the Palais des Nations.
At UNITAR, Julian is responsible for the so-called UN Immersion Programmes, one- or two-week field visits to Geneva for participants to learn about the United Nations first-hand. Julian is also in charge of several online training programmes, such as the UN Young Leaders Programme, the UN Internship Preparation Programme and the UN Human Rights Council Training Programme. He regularly contributes to these field visits and online training programmes with his experience in professional development at the UN, as well as guided tours of the Palais des Nations and the diplomatic district of Geneva International.
Julian holds a Master's degree in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute of Geneva and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from the University College of Maastricht. He spent a total of four years working and studying in Latin America and China, and is fluent in German, English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Mandarin Chinese. In his spare time, he enjoys sports of all kinds and spending time with his family and daughter Alicia (born in 2020).
